Succubus is invisible to others except when she chooses to make herself visible. Once she was released, Succubus haunts Neeba and torments him. She is released by Neeba, a young man ascending the tower. This takes place 80 years after the original, and Succubus is shown as a resident of the Tower of Druaga once more. Succubus also appears in the 2008 anime show based on the games. Here she has left the Tower of Druaga and returned to a cave dwelling. Most of the diaries are in generally plain sight, with only a select few tucked away in hidden areas. She is a minor character here, who may or may not be encountered by the player depending on their actions. Diaries unlock static CGs, provide the bulk of the lore for the game, and give hints to secrets as well as general gameplay instructions. Following his debut, Gil has appeared in several games. Tower and Sword of Succubus OST by g3ntlebreeze, released 1. Gilgamesh is a human prince who has ventured to the Tower of Druaga and had slayed the demon Druaga. Gil is one of the main characters and protagonists of the franchise, first appearing in The Tower of Druaga.

Succubus later appears in the Japan-only sequel The Blue Crystal Rod, which is the final game in the original series. Gilgamesh (, Girugamesshu), also known as Gil (, Giru), is a character from the Babylonian Castle Saga. After Gil wins the debate, Succubus relinquishes the Blue Crystal Rod. However, Gil uncovers Succubus' trick and has a debate with her. This is to deceive Gilgamesh (Gil), who is trying to rescue his beloved Ki. She disguises herself as Ishtar, the goddess of love. She is given charge of guarding the Blue Crystal Rod on the 57th floor of the Tower of Druaga. There are also more predatory ones which feed off waking humans. They are all female, the male version being Incubi, and feed off of sleeping humans by mating with them while they sleep, drawing off a little of the persons khef as they do so. Here she serves as Druaga's right-hand woman. Succubus is a spin-off of Agony, the horror game set in Hell released by Madmind Studio in 2018. Succubi are a type of lesser demon left over when the Prim receded and have adapted to live in the worlds created by Gan. Succubus first appears in The Tower of Druaga. She is also fully clad, in white and blue clothing. In the anime, however, Succubus has straight blue hair and lacks horns.

In the PC Engine version, she is revealed to be topless, possibly suggesting nudity. While not apparent in the arcade version of The Tower of Druaga, in the PC engine remake and The Blue Crystal Rod Succubus is shown with wavy blonde hair, two horns, and bat wings on her back.

Succubus' physical appearance differs between the games and the anime. This is additional content for Tower and Sword of Succubus, but does not include the base game. She is also known as Fake Ishtar or False Ishtar. She is a female demon who assists Dru aga. Succubus is a recurring antagonist in the Tower of Druaga series.
